About

Healing through creativity, compassion, and authenticity.

Heartworks is the collaborative dream of counselors and healers Laura Gerstle, Elizabeth “Betsy” Morand, and Cally Tilly. They are driven by a vision to create space to heal hearts, minds, and souls through creativity, compassion, and authenticity. Laura Gerstle is a Licensed Professional Counselor who offers person-centered psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. In therapy, Laura works to build a strong, collaborative relationship while using Affect Script Psychology as a guiding theory. Laura helps her clients identify and transform habituated images and emotional patterns that contribute to their specific challenges. She also works with her clients to increase emotional freedom and remove barriers that prevent them from experiencing life to the fullest. Laura has counseling experience with people of all ages and backgrounds who struggle with a wide variety of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Prior to becoming a counselor, Laura’s roles included Research Technician, Clinical Trials Coordinator, Rape Crisis Companion, and full->me mother of four. Elizabeth “Betsy” Morand is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. Betsy works with children (ages 8 and up) and adults using a person-centered approach. Betsy helps her clients find creative expression through art where words fail to tell the story. She has worked with clients in a variety of clinical settings, including those in the foster care system and state-run residential treatment centers. She has experience with veterans, children with special needs, and those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She recognizes that healing and wellbeing include the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of a person and offers faith-based counseling when desired. Betsy’s 17 years of experience as an art teacher and dyslexia interventionist have greatly contributed to her effectiveness as an art therapist. Cally Tilly is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist. She works with children, adolescents, and adults using a person-centered and strength-based approach. Cally uses direct and free art experiences to help clients explore and process their thoughts, feelings, and the challenges they face. By working collaboratively and establishing a trusting and supportive relationship, she helps her clients identify their personal goals and walks with them along a unique path of self-discovery and healing. Cally brings with her 19 years of experience as a public-school art teacher and years of counseling experience working with clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and mental health needs.
